We have added a new command for players to use. The command is [CL.
This has been requested many times over the years. The claim command deletes a monster corpse that may be in your way. It also will add a new Platinum coin to your backpack. The command is set to allow the player or players that have looting rights for a corpse to use it.
There is a vendor stone setup north of the Silver Rewards room in Brit Castle that has the rewards for the new Platinum coins. The rewards are few right now but I plan on adding more as I can script them.
Not all critters will be claimable. The mass spawns for training purpose like the sheep in Jhelom and the others around our world will not be claimable. This is to curtail coin farming.
A few things I feel I will hear about this new system:
Beelzabub only gave 1 coin. He is worth much more than a rabbit.
If you are out hunting for coins, don't fight Beelzabub. Just like you would not go fight stringy rabbits when you are hoping for a powerscroll.
FredBliss ran up and claimed my corpse while I was trying to loot it and ran off.
With the command keying on looting rights, this should not be something that can be done much. Looting rights is not an exact science so I will not say it can't happen. Looting rights is on a timer. After a few minutes, anyone can loot a corpse. But as a note, running up and trying to steal a corpse from a player is not only rude behavior, it upsets me. And I for one have means of eliminating that problem.
The rewards are much too expensive and not worth it.
I believe a Lotus Sports Car is too expensive and not worth the price. I just won't buy one. There will be rewards that can be bought for a few hours work. Some may take 200 hours work. How many hours work does it take for a Castle?
We did a few test and it is very easy to get 100 coins in an hour. Even for new players. Now for a note on that subject. A veteran player running through the new player dungeons for the purpose of coin farming will not be tolerated. These dungeons are intended for new players to have a relative safe place to hunt and train skills. This goes for the taming training islands too.
A previous player here bragged about how many rules he could break and get away with them. I realize there is no way for me to write a rule to cover every possible thing someone can think of to get ahead. But I am sure most players play with the intent of the rules/guidelines rather than trying to find a way around the letter of the rules.
This is a large new concept for our world. So it is very possible that some things may have to be adjusted. I have put a lot of time and effort into this system. I hope you like the addition.
