This is an old post, but.. I'm running one PC: Dell Inspiron 546s Desktop, WDC ATA 581Gb Hard drive, AMD Phenom x3 Triple Core (2.6Gb per processor), 8Gb SSDRAM, 350w UPS, Nvidia GeForce 9600GT, Windows Vista x64 on a 1.5Mbps ADSL connection. Some people would ask why am I not playing higher end games, but to that I say; New games will come and go, but classics will never die.

Ariana and me have actually "only" 4 computers :-)
1) Desktop (for both of us, but mainly used by Ariana) PC (AMD Athlon64 2GHz, 1.5GB RAM, 250GB harddrive) 17"LCD, Win XP SP3 2) my laptop IBM Thinkpad T41 (P-M2.0, 2GB, 160GB, Win7Pro 32bit 3) Ari's laptop IBM Thinkpad R51 (P-M1.6, 1.5GB, 80GB, Win XP SP3) 4) my old baby - IBM Thinkpad X20, it's very very old, but fully functional, we use this small laptop not so often - Intel P3/600MHz, 320MB RAM, 60GB harddrive and X20 base with DVD-ROM, stereospeakers, floppy and ports, 12.1" LCD with 1024x768 resolution
ad 2) it was PM1.6, 768Megs and 60GB drive, when i bought it, now it is as i described above, 3 things are on the to do list: - new battery (9cell) - new optical drive (DVD/RW) - 14" SXGA+ screen (1400x1050)
I am planning to build home server, just for harddrives (it would be a NAS device, but still no time to choose the right one :-( - too much work)

I almost cringe that I HAVE TO answer this thread, being a network geek by trade. :-)
I've got 5 between the wife and I, along with the myriad Ipods and Wii's and such. They are all latops/netbooks, as I recently removed all of the towers due to pet hair buildup. We clean constantly and still cannot keep the towers clean enough for my taste.
My Work Laptop Dell My home machine Alienware Her home machine Dell Her in bed laptop Dell One old laptop running Linux for other undisclosed stuffs. :-) Linksys IPS VPN Security Router
We're on the computers so much, that most costs are justified. Yay!!
