Paradise Found Custom Desktop--- UPDATED 09/10/09

Ok, alot of work has went into this. it is based on the Dragon Desktop and some other custom stuff.

Damara and Rinoa designed the logon background. All I did was patch everything together.

Started Friday night and we are ready to release a test version.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Backup gumpart.mul AND gumpidx.mul, AND fonts.mul
2. Unzip the archive.
3. Copy the files into the UO directory. (EX. C:\Program Files\EA Games\Ultima Online\)
4. Login as normal.


Since this is a client side mod, do not pm shard staff with issues on this. make a post here and I will help you.


This is just a test version right now, and improvements will be made. IF you see something that is not looking right, Take a screen shot, and post here, and include what menu, if possible. and I will try to fix it.


I am going to try to convert the other desktops (Celtic, Dwarven, and Arcadian) to work so you have your choice.


And I just noticed my Forum name is Warlocke, My In Game char is Ol' Rusty.



Dwarven is complete, both with custom icons and without. We have also added some custom spell weaving icons to the dragon desktop. Rinoa did the spell weaving icons.

I followed the instructions, and it didn't seem to work for me. I shut down my razor screen and everything. It brought me back to the regular old log in screen from before. I can try again and see if I did something silly or not.

Ah I found out what i did wrong. the screen came up fine! Thank you so much!

I logged onto the new background and noticed that the "quests" button and "guild" button on the paperdoll were still in the older look. I hope this helps a little bit, and I must say it does look amazing what you have done! I really like the new character looks and the new spells :]

Sorry I was eating dinner, yes i noticed those as well, im trying to figure out what to do with them to be honest lol. thats on the list to fix tho. thank you

Crannog asked for a download with the old spell icons, I will try to get to it tomorrow or later this week and add a 2nd download for those who prefer the old icons.

Love the new graphics but I noticed that when I equip a spear it appears on the paper doll as a scythe.

love the desktop but i noticed on login that where i once had a vand**e i now have a long beard and mustache combo. also i am holding a sturdy pickaxe and paperdoll shows an axe of some kind

ok, pickaxe noted. and the hair issue is fixed. btw hello from kc mo moly. I will upload it all around 7pm CST. im still working on stuff for it.


ALSO, Another file will be uploaded soon as well. It is the Art.mul files. I am going through right now and adding some new items for the staff to include in future scripts/items. there is alot of neat stuff in it. I will update the post when i get it all uploaded

EDIT 3:54pm CST, I have went ahead and fixed the pickaxe and have reuploaded everything again. you will need to redownload to see the fixes

*pushes the head of the scythe to see if it's floppy* Yup, just as I thought... Made by "Tops-A-Floppin" .... *points to the limp spearhead*.
It's so hard to get good wood nowadays when everything is made from soft wood.

Alright Allen found something with the files. The ring mail arms does something odd with the paper doll. When they are equipped with out a robe of any kind most of the paper doll gump goes away. If you equip a robe with the arms the paper doll comes back and depending on the order you equip items on your paper doll will determine what you remove from the paper doll. If are wearing the cloak and try to remove it witht the ringmail arms on you can not see it, there for you can not remove it. You have to remove the ring mail arms first.

Just thought I would pass this along.
