Finally got my dragon to stage 4 and then I looked at the KP needed for stage 5 and up.
I was told Dark Father was the best bet to train my evo, just looking for some tips on summoning and soloing the DF with my dragon, if it is possible.

you can do The Brute Concordat Quest and get a summoning skull you can use at the beastmaster (gate at the event area)
you can also do the doom quest to get a golden skull that will let you in the gautlet and go once around, the end monster is the dark father.
If you have some gold to spare, get a group of 4 to 6 people together and buy a paragon dark father for 750k, its well worth the expense and not that expensive is you split the bill (see private events)
Whatever you do, youll need good healing or vet skill and set yourself a couple of good macros to apply the bandages, maybe even a macro that applies the bandages and casts greater heals in a loop
I've also noticed some players using a script to cut bones, reducing the number of monsters spawned from the df, some it seemed to help while others seemed to have problem with diffrent macros overlapping. might be an option to look into

you could also try training it on doom gauntlet creatures that spawn outside of doom, dark night creeper and shadow knight spawn in khaldun, but so do admin demi and dragons slayer. Fleshrenders spawn in the cave south west of fel destard.
Dark bunnies spawn singulary in a few spots in purg and give ok kp but ya gotta be fast as like vorpals they disappear after 3 mins.
Other than that purg quests are a good way to go, so far i've tried cruelty and greed which were great. Dishonesty is good but hard if your not prepared.
One thing ill say about paragon darkfather events is, you get more kp the longer it lasts. the more powerful the pet the faster it kills it naturally.

If you collect the champ skulls, or buy them from Paradise Mall, or even share with someone else who has some but not all, you can do Harrower. That is great for pet KP too. Players can kill the creeping tentacles spawned by Harrower while the pets stay on the Boss. Just one more idea to add to all the others.

I just thought I'd chime in with some numbers I've kept track of along the way. I've done all of the Purgatory quests at least once and have noted the KP gains from each quest. Take these with a grain of salt... they are merely approximations, but I think you'll find you will get at least close to the stated amount.
Keep in mind, these are numbers for a stage 4 evo dragon... if you use a merc, torditsaron, or evo dog, your mileage may vary!
Dishonor - 96,000 to 100,000KP Dishonesty - 100,000 to 150,000KP (also get up to 6000 dragon dust) Pride - 200,000KP Cruelty - 200,000 to 250,000KP and here's a nice one Greed - 600,000 to 650,000KP
The other 3 quests aren't really recommended for stage 4 evo training: Injustice - only for young (stage 1 or 2) evos as a stage 4 evo will kill the boss too fast and get extremely few KP... but it's a good way to get your evo to stage 3 from stage 1 at least Apathy - the succubus of Apathy drains your evo too fast to keep it healed well enough and isn't worth too much in KP anyway Fear - the dread spider king poisons your evo often and isn't even worth a lot of KP anyway
Aside from that, a Dark Father summoned using a summoning skull from the Brute Concordats quest will yield about 150,000KP.
I've done a Doom Gauntlet and kept track of the numbers, but unfortunately, due to some crippling lag, I was unable to complete it. But, here's what I found out so far. The Gauntlet up to the Dark Father will yield about 54,000KP. I wasn't able to do the Dark Father due to the lag issue, but assuming it has similar stats to the Dark Father summoned with a summoning skull, then the entire Gauntlet including the DF should give around 200,000KP or so.
Now, unfortunately my evo dragon has evolved to stage 5 so I'm busy compiling the numbers again. I ran out of certain talismans for the Purgatory quests so it may take me awhile to find the ones needed in order to get the numbers for a stage 5 evo dragon.
EDIT: I did get some feedback from some people asking why I didn't include the numbers from things like Paragon Dark Fathers or the Harrower. Well, the reason those aren't included on the list is because there are so many more variables that would affect how many KPs your evo would get. Things like how many other evos/mercs are fighting along side your evo and what stage each of them are at all would be factors in determining how many KPs your evo would gain in the end. Apparitions spawns also fall into the same category... it's much easier to finish an apparition spawn as a group, or at the very least with a partner, than solo which is also why I haven't included them. What I can say though is for sheer KP value, Paragon or Terragon Dark Fathers are tops. The Harrower, however, takes a very close second.

Well, I don't yet have all the stage 5 numbers but I've got most of them so I'll post what I have and update later if I should get the rest.
Keep in mind these are now approximations for a stage 5 evo dragon... if you use a merc, evo dog, or torditsaron, your mileage may vary.
Purgatory Quests
Dishonor - 23,000 to 25,000KP Dishonesty - 60,000 to 75,000KP (plus get up to 6000 dragon dust) Pride - 80,000 to 100,000KP Cruelty - 75,000 to 100,000KP
Greed - still looking for a Greed talisman to drop
Regular Dark Father summoned with a summoning skull is about 44,000 to 45,000KP.
I have also yet to do another Doom Gauntlet to get the total number of KPs from that, but I will hopefully get around to that soon.
As you can see, the numbers are a lot lower than from stage 4. This brings me to a bit of advice that I'd like to impart to any serious evo dragon owners. SAVE YOUR DRAGON DUST! Because KPs are easily obtained at lower levels from just fighting, it makes more sense to save dragon dust for when your dragon just doesn't get a lot of KPs from fighting regular mobs anymore. It might seem tempting to just feed that 100 dust you just accumulated from fighting dragons, but if you do the math, that's only 500KP. For a dragon even up to stage 4, 500KP can be easily obtained by fighting vorpal bunnies or Big Oofs and isn't a big drop in the bucket in the long run. However, at later stages while 500KP may seem like a very SMALL amount in comparison to what your dragon actually needs to level up, it will now require fighting many mobs and a lot more effort to obtain. The benefit is even greater if you save your dust or even actively collect it (buy it from others even). To give you an example, a stack of 60,000 dust will give your dragon 300,000KP. At stage 5, that would be the equivalent of fighting the Pride Purgatory quest boss 3 times for instance, or it would mean fighting at least 7 Dark Fathers. And just imagine what KP gains will be like at stage 6! However, this is just friendly advice from one evo dragon owner to another... it is ultimately up to you how you choose to train your dragon.

Well I managed to find my own dog license earlier. I am not big on pets in general but I have been intrigued by the evolution dogs, but told myself I would only train one if I found the license myself, as it is a special bond then. At stage 1 I have so far found these numbers: vorpal bunnies: 3,945 killer instinct (KI) big oof: 1,940 KI Pup is now stage 2: vorpal bunnies: just under 500 KI Well after two paragon Dark Fathers my pup is now stage 3. He was stage 2 when we did the first one and ended with over 1 mill killer instinct, roughly gaining 800k + off one, with 3 other evolution pets also present (a balron stage torditsaron, and two mercenaries). I was thrilled to get in on a dark father after it being so long, and forgot to check stats before and after. Roughly, I had 250k killer instinct before, and after 2 paragon dark fathers, has a little over 1.5 million. I will update this as I go along and fight with my pup. I realize so far this is about evolution dragons, but the sharing of knowledge is nice about evolution training in general. I can move this to its own thread if people would prefer.

needs to be in a farm field, not just any ground and it must be outside of city limits or the guards will kill it
