Due to major demands for the specific Paradise Found UO client we use, patch 5.0.9.1 with custom hues.mul, I have taken the time to upload the original basic UO client with the correct patches already installed. If you are having problems moving around various areas, falling into black holes, not seeing items in your pack, bank, or as deco, this is the link you want to download: burchkc.com/Paradise/uo.rarThis is a very large file so please be patient while it downloads. Instructions to install it are: 1. Download the .rar file to a place you can remember where you put it. 2. Use WinRar to extract the entire folder into your current UO folder (usually located at C:\Program Files\EA Games\Ultima Online). 3. Do not delete your installation. Overwrite every file there with the ones located inside 9th Anniversary folder. 4. Once all the files are extracted and have overwritten the ones you originally had, restart your computer. NOTE: Some people using Vista or Win7 have had to right click and run the program (client.exe) with Admin permissions. 5. Restart your game. If you have a strange account name, then it should be correct. The name is there to test that you're using this exact set of patches. Replace that name with your account name and log in to Paradise Found. That should be the end of your problems! If you have any more problems walking around, getting in and out of zones or dungeons, or you're still seeing strange colors, try these steps again... or contact someone in game for more assistance. Paradise thanks Rusty for allowing us to upload this client to his website for the benefit of new players.

The download file can't be used as an original install because it doesn't "install" the client. Once you have an actual client installed, and your hard drive is registering it, then patching over it and using the existing hard drive information is easy.

ok, got the UO game working perfectly but I need to know how to copy all my Razor Macros and Hotkeys from the home machine to the new laptop.
I tried copy and paste the whole Razor folder but only the macros copied, not the hotkeys.
What do I need to do to fix this ?
Thanks

I also found that you can do an original install of UO with a Mondain's Legacy Client file; you dont need the original CD's and codes and all that stuff from decades ago.
I dont know if the UOML client file is still on the Internet for download but I have it if you want to host it in here.

its still online by ea here, www.uo.com/uoml/downloads.shtml but the client that gets installed now is 6.0xxx so you will need to dl the client pack here as well to get back to the 5.0.9 or whatever it is.

The hotkeys are probably on your UO desktop (like the F8, ALT B, etc.). You'll want to send yourself an email and attach the UO macros2d.txt file. You'll find it here:
Locate your UO folder. Click on Desktop, Click on the Account name, then click on Paradise Found. You should find your character name on a file in there. Click on macros2d.txt and send it to yourself as an attachment.
On your laptop (or new machine), go to your mail and download that file into your UO folder so it overwrites the current macros2d.txt file. Restart your laptop and when you log in, you should have your macro hotkeys back in place. *holds breath and mumbles "I hope"*

Thanks for responding. I followed the above instructions but I believe those instructions copy your "In-Game" macros and hot keys. Unfortunately I dont use those. The Hotkeys I created or use are within the Razor program. These hotkeys link a Razor created macro to a key or set of keys. Like, hit Shift +F1 to target a tree chop wood until your backpack is overloaded, then make the logs into boards and bank them and repeat. Or whatever it does but link it to one or more hotkeys. After following the instructions provided, my Razor Hotkeys were still not working and when i opened the Razor Hotkeys Tab all the entries were " Not Assigned" e.g. Blank. I will check around some more before I begin hand writing and copying all the hot keys manually. Thanks for trying.

Razor stores all of its files in the Razor directory open that up should be under something like C:\program files\razor
copy the macro files and such in there over, i am not at home so i can't tell you exactly which files they are for the hotkeys, but the macros are all under a folder labeled macros.
Hope this helps

Thanks Astro. Yes, I copied the macros successfully. Its the hotkey assignments in razor that didnot transfer, even though I copied and pasted the whole Razor macro folder. I also found that the Agent Organizers/Scavanger and all that are blank also. So is the Dress/Undress feature and probably a few more things. Last night I read in a razor forum that there is some .xml files related to hotkey assignments. Under C:/ProgramFiles/Razor/Profiles there is a default.xml but copying that file from old to new had no effect. Opening default.xml I can see the hotkey info. way down at the end of the file. But I dont know why the new running Razor does not have the keys assigned like the version on the old computer? I will solve this eventually.

Just in case this hasn't been solved yet.... and hello everyone lol:
Razor saves all of your settings in your Profile so find the files in the razor setup that has your profile in it. This might be within your Documents & Settings area in the applications etc. Each windows system is different in how that is setup so you'll have to poke around till you find the right area.
I would tell you exactly where in Windows, but I don't have UO or Razor installed at the moment. Doing so now to help my mom Cimhi because she's stuck and can't see her house or do anything in the game.
Anyways hopefully this helps and if I get Razor installed (if I need to do so to help her that is) I'll look for this location and post it here.

As an FYI - the host listed in the original post has been down for about a week. If it isn't coming back and you'd like a new mirror for it, we have the 5.0.9.1 full client (duplicate of the uo.rar from the old link), custom hue file, Razor, and UO TreasureHunter programs hosted on our website. I'll provide a set of links if people would like. (We have something like 2TB of bandwidth monthly; it's no problem to host for us.
