Being a pure caster I noticed immediately that my slayer spellbooks work half the time. Example, My Dragon Slayer spellbook works on red dragons but not brown ones. Also My Elemental Super Slayer spellbook works half the time on elementals. Some get hit for double damage, sometimes just normal damage. Just a heads up

Update regarding the slayer spellbooks. Undead slayer spellbooks seems to work as usual. Elemental and Dragon slayer still random. No longer based on dragon type but chance it will do double damage or not. Only thing I can think of is somehow the properties of the way the old slayer weapons worked with a chance and then a white flash when it worked now applies to spellbooks.
Sincerly,
The Underdog Caster

Did further testing today with all my Slayer books. Results are as same. Demon, Arachnid, Undead, and Repond Super Slayer Spellbooks work as intended (double spell damage 100% of time).
Elemental Super Slayer and Dragon Slayer Spellbooks work randomly. Some monsters you cast on you do double damage, others its normal damage as if the spellbook has no properties on it.
The Dragon slayer seems to only apply to Dragons, not Drakes, Wyverns, Etc. Those do work with the Slayer property.

Demon, Arachnid, Undead, and Repond are also working as they always have for me on PF. There are a few creatures that are supposed to be vulnerable to slayers that aren't, such as Lady Sabrix, but that isn't anything new.
I haven't had any trouble with Elemental slayer not working (unless it's fouling up on fire/water/earth/air elementals, in which case I wouldn't notice because they tend to die before the 'slayer bubble' shows up anyway). Blood and Poison elementals are my normal targets with Elemental slayer and they're eating it just as ever, even as Paragon and Terragon (if that could even make a difference).
I have seen the issue with Dragon slayer fouling up. It worked perfectly on the Wyverns I ran into, as well as the Shadow and Ancient Wyrms. Against both Drakes and Dragons, there were a few cases where it didn't work properly (noted by both the below slayer damage and the lack of flash). The other Dragon slayer creatures are still on my hit list.
Thus far, I haven't noticed this same problem with Drakes and Dragons when it comes to the Reptile super slayer.
edit: Tested Dragon Slayer against everything else on its list, other than Rikktor. Nothing else gave me any trouble, though I confess that I didn't kill as many of some things I would've liked to really be sure. If it makes a difference, the Drakes and Dragons that Dragon Slayer failed against were all in Destard.

Off topic (sorry): With SA OSI changed slayers. Super slayers work like before, but lesser slayers deal triple. For example: a Lizardman slayer deals triple damage to them. See www.uoguide.com/Slayer#Super_.26_Lesser_SlayersWould be a nice feature for PF, in my opinion. Gives lesser slayers a better purpose than the trash barrel

I thought about mentioning the fact that there's no purpose to using Dragon Slayer over Reptile slayer because of PF lacking this nice little benefit for slayer books, but yeah, it wasn't really topical.
...But since you bring it up, I've always been for this idea. Considering how many slayer books you'll make while trying to craft a full set of Super Slayers, it would be great if they weren't just a visible reminder of how many resources it takes to get your hands on some of the few useful weapons a mage has.
And I'd really like to try one-shooting an Ancient Wyrm/break 1K damage on an Arctic Ogre Lord.

I have looked at this a few times and it evades me so far. But I am still trying.
