Do you have some graphics skill? More importantly, do you want to help your favorite shard? Now is the time to shine and show your stuff! With Paradise Found's 7th birthday in May and our new shift into Stygian Abyss/High Seas, Paradise Found has declared a contest for a "New Paradise Found banner". This contest will be open for the entire month of May, so grab all those graphics programs, dust off your thinking cap and let your creativity flow! HINT: Haazen likes pastel colors, muted hues. This does not mean that someone cannot create attacking dragons, or a battle scene, we have seen some beautifully illustrated battles too. Rules for this contest are quite simple: you have to design two sizes of the same banner: One 700 x 120 for PF website, and PF forum.
A smaller one for the shard voting site in case we do make the top 10. The smaller size needs to be 468 x 60. The banner may contain what you would like, but it should reflect life on Paradise - probably feature mobs or things that you personally like in our world. What is the incentive? Some very good graphic designers would charge hundreds for a re-branding effort. What would you consider if we donate our trademark work?

Well, here's the thing... as soon as you pay your $19.95 a month to play in Paradise, we'll use those funds to provide incentive. But as long as we are not charging players to play here, it does limit us as to what we can pay. I'm sure Haazen would pay real professionals to create an entire website for us with specialized trademarked graphics, and for them to maintain and update all the info.... as soon as we get paid. heheh. The current banner is nice, but it is five years old and we've come a long way since 2006. We'd like to show some of the new features, so we're looking for some fresh ideas to represent Paradise now. We don't want to force anyone into feeling they have to create and contribute, so please feel free to abstain if you feel you must be paid, bribed or offered an incentive... although we do give some decent virtual food  For all those who are entering, the very best of wishes with your work! We have many talented, creative and imaginative people here and I'm hoping to see some exceptional picture pages. |
