It all began at the stroke of midnight. The night was clear and bright, the lights of Britain clearly seen shimmering on the river. Four of us were speaking conversationally between Brit bank and the gatehouse when we suddenly saw Kaley doing some of the most unusual maneuvers. She was standing between the gates of the jail cell where the black unicorn is penned and the sparkles in front of it. Unable to recall, teleport or even kill herself to get onto the city streets, she was stuck! Nothing short of PvP could save her. All our attempts and advice failed... until we remembered the Help menu option.
It took nearly two minutes before it finally freed her, but *poof* there she stood finally, in front of the gatehouse, safe and sound and laughing about her experience.
Coheed and I went over to investigate this strange happening, and while we were there, weird happenings began taking place! While I was standing next to Coheed, he took a sudden leap and landed in the middle of Brit River! No magery or chivalry involved in it. One minute he was standing next to me, and the next he was in the middle of the river. Obviously, I was confused!
See what I mean? As if that wasn't bad enough, while I stood there on the banks watching, I suddenly found myself standing high on the cliff on the far side of the river, stuck on a small ridge that was just large enough for two feet to stand on. How did I get here? Was there an invisible pixie in the area playing pranks for the New Year?
Unable to recall, wand or teleport back to the streets of Brit, I stood there and watched while a kraken slid up through the water next to Coheed. Good thing the resident guardian (also known as Haazen) of the shard was watching over him or he would have been a gonner! As soon as the kraken was killed, I found myself poofed to lands unknown! After gating back to Brit, I ran to the river to check on Coheed. Phew! Safe, still alive, but still stuck in the river.
Next, Asha and Raton joined us to try to get our friend out of the river and one by one, we wound up in the river right beside him. Talk about a magnetic personality! Whoa, Co.... you have magnetism, Dude! Four of us, all stuck in the middle! And look at that! Hammer came to join us too! Thanks, Hammer-dude ;D It's such a nice place when everyone sticks together...literally.
One by one, while we were laughing at our predicament, water creatures of various kinds slid through the waters next to us. There was a leviathan, the terra kind... here in Brit! Yes, folks, hold your horses, it's dead... Killed by the first three water-babies stuck there in the middle of the river. While we were lamenting that we couldn't get close enough to it where it died on the shoreline, large fish began appearing around us. Swimming and chattering, they sounded so friendly and happy you can imagine our surprise when they started attacking from the edge of the line, working their way up through the river-men. First, it was Coheed, then Raton, Asha, me, Hammer. One by one we fought them off and as the first wave ended, Coheed made his way to the banks of the river. Thanks, Co! Left us here, dude *snickers, teleports to the shore*
Look at all those bodies around there! Told you there were Sharkys in the water *nod nod*
Eventually, the excitement settled down and we took to fishing the waters. Maybe if we remove their food supply, Sharkys will head back out to the open sea. Then again, it was fun playing with them in the river.
Happy New Year, Everyone! I hope 2007 treats you kind and brings all the things you need in life.
